We are looking for an experienced Nursery Chef to join our warm and welcoming nursery team. Our nurseries provide a nurturing environment where children thrive, staff feel valued and high-quality care and education are at the heart of everything we do.

As our Nursery Chef, you will play an important role in supporting children’s health and wellbeing by preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for babies and children under five.

30 Hours Per Week - Flexible on start time between 8am and 9.30am.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, healthy meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 following the nursery menu

• Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards

• Follow infection control and cross-contamination procedures

• Safely manage allergies, dietary requirements and special dietary needs

• Maintain kitchen records including temperature checks and cleaning schedules

• Manage stock levels and complete weekly food orders

• Follow Health & Safety procedures including COSHH and food safety regulations

• Work closely with the nursery team to create positive mealtime experiences for children

What We Are Looking For

• Experience working as a chef, cook or catering professional

• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above preferred)

• Understanding of allergies, dietary requirements and food safety

• Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen environment

• Organised, reliable and positive approach to work

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
