Are you an experienced Employee Relations Specialist who takes ownership of ER cases to conclusion; who supports managers to navigate people matters with confidence, and treats all staff with equality, fairness and compliance?
This is a key HR role working closely with leaders across the organisation to protect our people, standards and culture.
What you’ll be doing
Managing end-to-end employee relations casework across multiple settings
(disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability)Providing clear, practical and legally sound advice to managers at all levels
Drafting high-quality case documentation including invitations, outcomes and appeals
Supporting complex and sensitive cases
Monitoring absence management processes and supporting return-to-work planning
Working with occupational health and supporting reasonable adjustments
Ensuring all processes are compliant with UK employment law and group policy
Identifying trends and risks, supporting proactive people management
Supporting wider HR activity including restructures, TUPE and consultation processes
What we’re looking for
Proven experience managing employee relations casework
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
CIPD Level 5 or above (or working towards)
Confidence advising managers in complex or sensitive situations
Excellent written communication skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple cases across different sites simultaneously
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Desirable:
Experience in early years, education or care settings
Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding considerations
